My first android app in the works, plus a peek at the first chapter of my novel!!

I would like to announce that I am currently working on my first android application in effort to balance the services offered by my domain avnet.ws.

The focus of the app itself is geared towards the novels that I talked about in said websites.
So now you will have the chance to read my novel as it is being written! Isn't that neat now.
I will post more details about the app and where to find it once it is ready for release.
But for now, I can leave you with a small incentive, here is the intro chapter for the novel.

v  Prelude to Angel

I once thought the worst had already passed.

I believed that peace had finally come to us.

That after all those encounters we could finally enjoy our time here.

But even as I held on to that thought, I knew that my fights with the devils were for a different cause.

I believe them to be just a trial for us. To get us ready for the worse.

I trained harder than ever, and fought harder than ever.

And with that, I thought, it would somehow show them not to approach us carelessly.

Leave us in peace is what I thought.

And yet, how did it end up like this?

How could I not realize that things were going to turn out this way?

I was supposed to protect her; I was supposed to keep her out of harm’s way.

Yet there she is, lying on the ground, pale, motionless... dying.

Be it friend or foe, I protected her.

I fought them all; I fought everyone who tried to harm her.

And then I trained some more.

But to what end? If she still gets hurt then it was all for nothing!

I was her only friend and all I had to do was to keep her safe.

I'm nothing but a failure is was I thought.

All the usual signs of caution were right in front of me.

All I had to do was pay attention.

How did I let this devil get so close to us?

Right now, right in front of us stood the worst kind of person.

Banned from the Heavens, sentenced to a hell forever and yet, he’s standing right here.

I should have known he would be here.

For all the signs were practically telling me, "Watch your back, Death is here!"

But no, I had no idea it would be him. It was different this time.

Those devils I fought before were already here. They had settled away from this devil.

We just happened to cross by their path.

But it was different for him, He was hunting us down; he was looking for us, sending his minions to find out our strength and weaknesses, only looking to strike when we were most vulnerable.

And yet, how could I not sense his presence!? How did I not realize it was the same presence I'd felt when we fell from heaven. How did I not see that it was him!?

"Sam? Hey, Sam! What's with the stare? Do you hate me that much?" said the devil full of pride.

"All I did was shut her up, wasn't she getting on your nerves too?"

"Leave her out of this!" I screamed back at the devil.

"How could you... How could you do this?" even though I was not expecting an answer I still shouted back at this devil.

"What did you do to her!?"

"You want to know, Sam!?" he replied almost immediately as if he was waiting for that one question.

"If you must know then I'll tell you, but only because you asked nicely...

I did what I do with all that get in my way.

I was once interested in her, but as you can see, she is just a little Angel turned Devil.

I have to admit I had something to do with that but in the end Sam.

In the end I always get what I want, even if it means to cut your precious girlfriend to tiny little pieces, I will get what I want!

What I want is you Sam, for you have amused me so much more than what she ever has so far. You have overcome many of my challenges with amazing results. I had a little trouble analyzing how you got this far but now that I'm here none of that matter. I've come to collect and I want you in my collection, Samuel."

I could not believe my ears. I nearly let all my anger take control, but this is what he wants.

I needed to calm down, hold it in a little longer. But it was too late, this was just too much!

"I see why the Gods of this Earth want you dead.

You have the nerve to tell me this is all for your amusement. That she was turned into one of your own, forced to leave the Heavens and start a new life here. Yet that was not enough since as soon as she felt safe you sent your minions to attack her forcing her to recollect her memories and bring back all her pain. And yet you say that you just used her to get to me?!"

I took my time, I tried to calm down as I screamed at him but I could not contain myself.

She is hurt because he wants me? Her life as an Angel ended because this guy wanted to get to me?

"Oh God this can’t be real! Is this really happening right now?

I can't believe just how much she has to suffer!" I couldn’t take it anymore.

“And it was all because of you!

I won’t let it end like this; I won’t let you have your way!

For all her pain in Heaven and Earth, for all that you have done to her.

I’ll have you pay with your blood!"

I called out to my blades and got ready for battle just like many times before.

But unlike before, I took a step back and got ready for the worst.

"Ha!" he laughed.

"Oh Sam, make me pay? And with my own blood you say!

I, Lucifer, have not paid for anything since the beginning of time!" he said while taking a step back.

"You best be ready to back up your word!"

"Come, I'll take you on!" I yelled back one last time.

I had been preparing for this my whole life, training with her dad in Heaven, and fighting the demons here on Earth.

I knew that if I was to stay by her side, I needed to be strong and ready for the worst.

But to fight the King of Devil's himself is not something I could had foreseen.

I now wonder if the Almighty saw this one coming…

I wonder if she saw it coming.

Maybe she was trying to warn me all this time by not letting me get too close to her.

How did I not realize she was trying to protect me by keeping me away?

But how could I know this is how she felt?

I wanted to be with her.

I wanted to protect her so much I ignored everything else.

I gave up on everything I had just to be by her side.

And yet I still wonder how it would have turned out if I did not go with her.

Could she have had a better life?

If I was not here, will this devil had lost his interest and let her be?

Was it right for me to be the one at her side?

Was it right for me to be her friend?

Was it right for me to fall in love with her?
